Securing the Future of API Protection

At Early Game Ventures, our mission is to back visionary startups that are poised to make a significant impact in their industries. That’s why we’re excited to announce our latest investment of nearly €1M in Relock, a Polish cybersecurity startup that’s taking API protection to the next level.

This investment is part of our second fund, which launched earlier this year with a total value of €60M. Relock’s technology offers real-time protection for company APIs and data exchange, ensuring immediate threat detection. In today’s increasingly digital world, this kind of security is more critical than ever.

What drew us to Relock was not only the potential of its technology as a standalone product but also its ability to integrate seamlessly with larger solutions from companies like Okta or Kong. This versatility makes Relock a valuable player in the cybersecurity space, and we’re thrilled to support them as they scale.

As Marcin Sznyra, the founder and CTO of Relock, shared: “The new high-frequency secrets rotation engine we developed bridges many security vulnerabilities. The early adopters have appreciated its value for APIs, as well as other critical uses, such as cloud assets or user security. Thanks to Early Game, we can accelerate our product development with the first applications coming soon.”

For us at Early Game Ventures, this investment reinforces our commitment to leading early rounds and providing capital to promising startups across Central and Eastern Europe. As Florin Visa, our Partner who oversaw the deal, aptly put it: “As the digital environment becomes increasingly ingrained in our world, cybersecurity threats are constantly evolving. Investing in advanced cybersecurity solutions now holds the potential to not only address today’s critical problems, but also to become a transformative force for global technology as it matures.”

This partnership with Relock is just another example of how we’re actively investing in the future of technology, no matter the stage or size of the startup. We’re excited to see where this journey with Relock will take us and look forward to supporting their growth in the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape.
